The multi-label music giant celebrates 30 years of successful business by reprising a concert first staged 23 years ago

More than 20 years ago, more than 30,000 music fans gathered at the Thai-Japan Bangkok Youth Centre to raise their right hands in solidarity at a concert dubbed “Mue Khwa Samakkhee (Right Hand Reunion)”.
The magic of that 1990 concert is now being reprised, this time at Impact Arena, next Saturday and Sunday in celebration of GMM Grammy’s 30th anniversary.
Taking part in the show are rock legends are Amphol “Nui” Lumpoon and Micro, Billy Ogan, Thitima “Waen” Sutasuntorn, Nuvo and Mai Charoenpura. Much to the delight of fans and the press, they all turned out for the last week’s press conference.
Gayray’s managing director Yuthana “Ted” Boonorm assumed the role of emcee and talked about the background of the concert before inviting the artists to sing the signature number “Mue Khwa Samakkhee”.
Waen then took over the stage for a solo set that featured “Wien Hua”, “Arj Ja Pen Khon Nee” and “Rao Mee Rao” before handing over to Nuvo for “Pen Yang Nee Tang Tae Kerd Loei”, “Luem Pai Mai Rak Kan”, “Mai Pen Rai Loei” and “Sud Sud Pai Loei”.
The first floor vibrated with screams as Billy rocked fans with “Ao Arai Ma Laek Kor Mai Yom”, “Yak Takone”, “La Oak” and “Jon Tae Jeng”.
Micro’s Kraipop “Kob” Chandee sang the hit “Rak Pon Pon” before Nui Amphol came out to perform “Bok Ma Kham Diew”, “Ao Pai Loei”, “Som Lon” and “Sia Mai”.
“We all still remember the atmosphere of the concert when everyone raised their right hands. It was a very powerful moment and one that has remained fixed in my mind for more than 20 years” said Nui Amphol. “The raised right hand remains a powerful symbol today and we hope everyone at the upcoming on concerts will play along.”
