A GTH screenwriter turns her creative juices to hand-made totes. You'll find yours at Facebook

Aummaraporn “Aum” Phandinthong has been working as a screenwriter with GTH studio for several years and has contributed to the scripts of such popular movies as “Alone”, “Hormones” and “Laddaland”.

In her free time, she heads to the shops to check out the latest fashion trends and add to her collection of printed textiles and soft fabric bags. Last year, she used some of the fabric in her stock to produce multi purpose bags as New Year gifts for her friends and colleagues and they loved them so much, they urged her to make more.

Today, she’s selling her handmade bags on Facebook under the name “bun-ju” and they are being snapped up by young shoppers looking for totes with function and style. She currently has more than 70 designs displayed on her page and has also showcased her latest bags at the Happening Fair, Fat Festival and Festival Walk.

“I have plenty of fabric at home and I love sharing my passion with others,” Aummaraporn says. “My bags are handmade and unique. They are made piece by piece according to order. A fabric bag is durable and easy to clean.”

The bags are made of quality cotton, canvas, velvet, gunny, denim, woven textiles and pa khao ma that Aummaraporn has purchased at Sampheng and markets all over the country.

Her best sellers include a two-toned tote with a flower motif, a shoulder bag that can double as a backpack, a shoulder bag made from a pa khao ma, polka-dotted totes and soft notebook bags. They range in price from Bt150 to Bt500.

If you have a beautiful design in mind, Aummaraporn’s happy to let you match fabric and pattern based on your idea.
