First of all, new political party Future Forward is led by Thanathorn Juangroonruangkit, heir to an auto-parts company. In the past, Thanathorn was accused of financing Fah deo Kan – a dubious, anti-monarchist magazine.
Future Forward’s secretary-general, Piyabutr Saengkanokkul, was once a university lecturer. It is alleged that he attacked the monarchy system on several occasions while speaking at seminars whose audience was dominated by attendees wearing red shirts.
And lastly, the party’s spokeswoman, Pannika Wanich, is now being accused of showing inappropriate behaviour towards His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s royal portrait on her graduation day in 2010. She was already 22 years old at that time.
All three party executives are in their 30s and early 40s.
End of news.
