The floodwaters surge in forceful and enraged
Our luck seems dry though our cheeks are wet
To get ourselves out, seems remote as a lost bet
Darkness and moisture creep in
Our phone batteries weaken
Our stomachs flatten
Despair and turmoil creep in
Our families are in our minds
Frets and fears we feel, of many kinds
Coach, tell us what can we say
Getting out of our trap seems to offer no way
“Take courage fellows, be of cheer
The waters will abate, we’ll get out of here
Remember in a football game
The lesson of victory is the same
Think we that we are week, we’ll not get far
Stay we strong, we can reach for the remotest star
We’re in this cave new sportsmanship to learn
Withstand the challenge our glories thus we earn
Took we a chance in this cave to survive
To nature’s way we came, in our wills to thrive
Turn your mortal thoughts now to the Buddha’s way
Listen to that inner voice, he has something to say
All that is born, must die someday
Live though, not in a dying way
Focus the mind on good deeds
This is the lesson of morality
Fear not nature, we are but of its other form
Be hopeful, take courage, my team
We’ll soon get out into the sun’s gleam”
