I really can’t see how you can even attempt to justify the teacher’s actions. However much the school needs the money, the child was unnecessarily and cruelly humiliated.

Just the other day we had a teacher who made girls walk around without their underwear, and now this.
Perhaps [Prime Minister Prayut and his deputy Prawit] should start raiding schools and teachers if either of them wants this country to change or move forward.
Keep in mind this is what we know. How about all the incidents we do not know and do not make it to the social media? Rest assured those are not isolated one-offs.

To the teacher / director or whoever decided to humiliate the child in front of everyone: That’s not on, it’s wrong, it’s not acceptable, it’s low-class. In any modern, correctly thinking society it could even be considered verbal abuse, which translates as assault.
I have nothing against being tough on kids who need it, but humiliation isn’t being tough – it just reflects the poor moral upbringing of the abuser.

There’s only one person to blame – the mother. She screwed up. The kid traumatised? Get real, it’s the mum that lost face. The teachers are just looking for creative ways to shame the mum, unfortunately through the boy.
It’s so easy to blame the teachers because they are not allowed to defend their actions and all they can do is apologise to the people that are really causing the problems, namely the overprotecting parents that miserably spoil their kids.

I don’t care what the mother did or did not do. It doesn’t justify the teacher humiliating and bullying this child. They are an absolute disgrace to teaching.
