Thai entertainment giant BEC World is looking ahead to ensure it is able to adapt and survive in an ever-more competitive business world.

To that end, it recently organised an event, “BEC World of Spirit”, at Show DC with the aim of exploring how, amongst other things, the evolution of communication technology is affecting changes in consumer behaviour.
“We have been in business now for 47 years and over the decades we have constantly developed to respond to what Thai consumers want. We are in the entertainment and media sector, so we have to adjust to the changes. It is a challenge but our aim is to be better,” said Somchai Boonnamsiri, chairman of BEC World.
“BEC Group is like a big boat with 2,000 crewmen and lots of VIP passengers, TV hosts, celebrities, sponsors and audience. We have never stopped developing and are always ready to step on unfamiliar ground. We are one and will unite again to overcome obstacles and achieve new success,” added Prachum Maleenont, group chief executive officer.
“We want to make our company strong and sustainable. This offers our personnel a chance to be successful while also encouraging newcomers to develop,” said executive director Somprasong Bunyachai.
Several VIP guests attended the event, among them Suphajee Suthumpun, group chief executive officer of Dusit Thani Public.
A seminar moderated by Traipop Limpapat was also held with Bancha Chumchaivate, Pongpat Wachirabunjong, Yuttana Lorpanpaiboon, Pornchita Na Songkhla, Mayurachat Muenpasitiwet and Sathit Kreekul among the panellists.
