The next concert in the 2017 edition of the Italian Festival in Thailand takes place on Thursday with Baroque Musicke Bangkok performing at Chulalongkorn University’s Music Hall at 7pm.

Baroque Musike Bangkok is an ensemble directed by Italian maestros Jacopo Gianninoto and Alberto Firrincieli who have been working for several years to bring the “historically informed performance culture” to Southeast Asia by performing early music with original instruments such as the lute, theorbo, harpsichord and viola da gamba.
For this special event, the two Italian musicians will join forces with a trio of talented young Thai musicians, namely cellist Samatchar Pourkarua and violinists Pittayah Pruksacholavit and Chot Buasuwan.
As an homage to the great Venetian composer Antonio Vivaldi, Baroque Musike Bangkok will perform the whole book of “Sonate Da Camera a Tre Opus 1” originally published in 1705 and which includes Follia in D minor.
Admission to all events is free but registration is required. Book your seat at www.eventbrite.com and learn more about the Italian Festival Thailand at Facebook.com/ItalianFestivalThailand.
