It’s never called terrorism when Buddhists commit atrocities
The reason people think only Muslims are terrorists is that we only use the word terrorism when it can be applied to Muslims.
It’s never called terrorism when Buddhists commit atrocities against Muslims in Myanmar or Jews do the same to Palestinians in Israel. I recall seeing a newspaper headline not long ago which said that Jewish “extremists” in Israel had planted a bomb in an Arab school. If Muslims had planted a bomb in a Jewish school those Muslims would have been called “terrorists”, not merely extremists.
In recent years all the massacres that have occurred in American schools were committed by white males. Yet you don’t hear Donald Trump or JC Wilcox talk about the need to crack down on white males.
The most notorious mass murderers in recent American history – Charles Manson, David Berkowitz, who approached numerous women in New York and randomly shot them, and John Wayne Gacy, who raped and murdered young boys – were all white men. But had they been Muslims, Mr Wilcox would no doubt have claimed this was evidence of what an an evil religion Islam is!
