The sixth floor at Central Embassy has been redeveloped as Open House, which will have its grand opening on Saturday (March 25).
Occupying 7,000 square metres, Open House is a place for people of all ages to hang out, relax, shop, eat, work or study if they need to, and even have a snooze. Under lofty ceilings, the vast, minimalist, open-plan interior houses a restaurant, lounge, bar, bookshop, art gallery and co-working space.
Designed by Tokyo-based Klein Dytham Architecture, the book terrace has a dynamic feel with its use of both natural wood and several real trees. Large windows let in plenty of light. You feel closer to nature.
There are eight loosely separated areas – Eating Deck, Eat by the Park, Open House Bookshop by Hardcover, Co-Thinking Space, Art Tower, Design Shop, Open Playground (for children) and Diplomat Screens Embassy by AIS. When the Park Hyatt Bangkok opens in May, it will complete the overall concept.
The dining areas offer a variety of delicacies, sweets and drinks from Lady Nara, Peppina, Rico, Bao and Buns, Broccoli Revolution Embassy, Egg My God, Movenpick Ice-Cream, Muteki by Mugendai, Paris Mikki, the Casks, the Meat Bar and the Raw Bar.
