LEADING AMERICAN brand Levi’s underlines its commitment to the LGBTQ community and its stand on equality with the launch of its first global Pride collection in partnership with the Harvey Milk Foundation.
The new collection is designed to commemorate Harvey Milk’s election in 1977 to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. Milk, one of the first openly gay elected officials in the world, was assassinated nearly a year after taking office but his legacy and inspiring example will never be forgotten.
On offer is a white Harvey Milk Ringer tank and T-shirt bearing a simple Harvey Milk graphic on the front and the LGBTQ timeline on the back and a Pride tee with the Levi’s rainbow batwing to represent LGBTQ social movement. All shirts come in gender neutral size.
There are also stone-washed Harvey Milk shorts adorned with an embroidered rainbow flag on the watch pocket and rainbow T-tab and a five-panel Pride Baseball cap equipped with fastened back and Levi’s rainbow batwing embroidery.
Prices range from Bt790 to Bt3,090 and buyers spending a minimum Bt5,000 can customise their denims with a Levi’s X Harvey Milk patch limited edition. Part of the proceeds from sales will benefit the Harvey Milk Foundation.
