The Kingdom’s No 1 Puriwat Chatpatcharoen, who had stomach problem, lost to Harshana Godamanna 3-6 7-6 (7-4) 3-6 3-6 before Thai No 2 Pruchya Isarow found the equalizer for Thailand following a 6-2 6-3 6-3 win over Sharmal Dissanayake.
Thai captain Paradorn Srichaphan, however, was confident that Thailand would prevail in the end by winning the doubles on Saturday where Sonchat and Sanchai Ratiwatana are to take on Godamanna and Dissanayake due at 1pm.
