Djokovic and Nadal to promote Thailand as a destination

World No 1 Novak Djokovic and ninetime French Open champion Rafael Nadal will promote Thailand as a tourist destination in a daylong activity that will include shopping at OTOP and visiting the Prime Minister's Office during their Bangkok exhibition next

US Open champion Djokovic and Nadal will be in the capital on October 1 and 2 for the “Back to Thailand Nadal vs Djokovic” exhibition. The soldout friendly will be played on October 2 at the Hua Mark Indoor Stadium.
Lawn Tennis Association president Suwat Liptapanlop said the presence of the two players will give a welcome boost to local tourism in the aftermath of Erawan Shrine bombing.
“Both players will go shopping at the  One Tambon One Product (OTOP) hall in the afternoon of October 1 and they will meet PM Prayut Chanocha at Government House at 11am on October 2,” said Suwat.
The Serb is due to arrive in Thailand on October 1 from Zurich at 9.30am along with a three-member entourage. Nadal is to touch down on the same day from Spain, also with a three-strong team , including coach and uncle Toni.
Both will hold a press conference at 2.30pm at the JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok, where they will be staying. The following day, both will have a practice session at the stadium.
Prior to the DjokovicNadal match,  a special mixed doubles exhibition match will serve as an official farewell event for Danai Udomchoke. Danai will pair with Noppawan Lertcheewakarn to play Paradorn Srichaphan and Tamarine Tanasugarn in a bestofninegame format.
The event will be broadcast live on True Vision’s True4U (Channel 4 on True Vision, Ch 34 on satellite, and Ch 34 on cable), True Tennis HD (Ch 670), or True Anywhere App from 8.30pm.
