Three restaurants and a slew of intriguing bars pack the new Sathorn complex
BILLING ITSELF as “Asia’s most successful lifestyle brand”, Ku De Ta – a trio of restaurants augmented with theme bars – opened a Bangkok branch earlier this month on the 39th and 40th floors of the Sathorn Square Building.
Carefully tailored menus, sophisticated cocktails, unparalleled service and great views are on offer at the three restaurants, each with its own style of cuisine but all sharing a wine list assembled by an award-winning sommelier.
The first, Signature, gives Asian flavours a modern interpretation, Izakaya specialises in Japanese robatayaki (charcoal-grilled dishes), and Grill updates the Western steakhouse with premium cuts of imported beef.
There are also seven theme bars – Soundgarden, Amber Bar, Aviary, Ku Bar, Grill Bar, Lounge and a separate bar in the Members Club.
Ku De Ta’s innovative cocktail service, run by the Nordic Bar Syndicate, is delivered impeccably and covers all the international classics while adding unique drinks designed to fit Bangkok’s climate and match Ku De Ta’s quality standards.
The Club Lounge and Members Club have multiple-level dance platforms and seating banquettes and top sound and lighting systems, including Thailand’s first Madrix lighting system and Marquis JBL speakers. “We aspire to provide exquisite gastronomy and great service,” says Justin Dunne, director of club and bar operations. “Our commitment to quality in everything we do, coupled with world-class line-ups of bands, DJs and entertainers, plus spectacular panoramic views of the City of Angels, make Ku De Ta Bangkok Thailand’s finest lifestyle venue. Numerous celebrities turned out for the extravagant opening despite a rain shower, eager to sample nibbles from Signature and Izakaya as well as the creative cocktails.
Over the years, Ku De Ta branches elsewhere have won several awards for their outstanding food, drinks and entertainment.
