After the sold-out success of its inaugural event “Saturday Night Fever”, Love Radio 104.5 returns to CentralWorld Live on October 26 with a “dance night party” on the theme “Stayin’ Alive Black & White”.
“It’s essentially a disco concert though we’ll also be performing slow songs,” Jennifer Kim told the recent press conference held at Zense.
“I used to sing mainly uptempo disco songs when I was performing with Koh Mr Saxman’s band on the pub circuit.
“And I’ve persuaded Koh to join me as well as Chin Chinawut and Pete Pol for this next party. Chin is a new generation singer and dancer while Pete looks like a model and has great vocal technique,” she added.
Kim opened her set at the media event with covers of Madonna’s “Like A Virgin”, “What a Feeling” from the 1983 movie “Flashdance”, and Cher’s “Believe”. Chin followed her up on stage and showed his moves in Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” while Pete Pol drew applause for his cover of Gloria Estefan’s “Conga”. The three were then joined by Koh Mr Saxman and Takeshi & The Funky Unit band for the Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive”.
The upcoming event will also feature Superfreak, Miami’s the most popular disco band. They’ve impressed fans all over the world with such old hits as “Bad Girls”, “Beat It”, “Boogie Fever”, “Celebration”, “Dazz”, “Do You Think I'm Sexy”, “Don't Stop Till You Get Enough”, “Funkytown”, “I Will Survive”, “Last Dance” and “Sweet Home Alabama” and arrive in Bangkok with a set on the theme “When the floor shakes, everything moves”.
