The Little Big Club of kids' cartoon characters is live onstage this weekend

Starring everyone’s favourite purple dinosaur, Barney, with his buddies BJ, Baby Bop and
cousin Riff, “The Little Big Club Live in Concert” is being staged today through Sunday at Royal Paragon Hall.
The concert also features family idols Bob the Builder and Wendy, Angelina Ballerina and her best friend Alice, Pingu, Fireman Sam and perennial favourite Thomas the Tank Engine, all of whom come together on stage in a colourful and exhilarating musical show for all the family.
Four young rock stars make up the Little Big Club Band and can’t wait to get the audience up on its feet and dancing.
Kym Halpin, the executive producer of Smile Live Entertainment, answered a few questions for us.

What’s the story and concept behind “The Little Big Club Live”?
It’s a “kid’s rock concert”. The concept was to make sure kids had a good time hearing all their favourite songs sung by their favourite characters.

What are the highlights of the show?
Thomas the Tank Engine is a big favourite, but I think most kids will love to see Barney.

How can children get involved in the show?
The kids get to sing and dance along with all their favourite friends. They may even get to wave a flag for Thomas.

What are you looking forward to on tour in Asia?
We all love touring in Asia, particularly Thailand. The people are so friendly and welcoming and the food is so good!

Are there language or cultural barriers that the show has to adapt to in different countries?
The show is being performed in English at some shows and Thai at some shows. But the content stays exactly the same wherever we go.

What are the keys to the success of all the Hit Entertainment cartoon characters?
The HIT characters are fun to be with and they teach kids along the way.

What do you enjoy most about children’s concerts?
I love seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces as they watch the show. It’s very rewarding knowing the parents and the kids are enjoying themselves together. It’s a great family outing.
