Thai fans will not miss any of the action from the Olympics contrary to their experience with Euro 2012. TrueVisions will broadcast Olympics events on nine channels, four on HD quality, showing all 26 sports disciplines.

Anat Mekpaiboonvatana, managing director of TrueVisions, said his company and its partner ESPN Star Sports will provide the biggest broadcast of the Olympics in Thailand and for the first time in the Games history – in high definition.
Of the 10 streams of the Games coverage, Thai audiences would be able to watch nine channels, which will cover all 26 disciplines to be competed in London from July 27–August 12.
All the channels will broadcast different competitions 24 hours a day – a total of 2,200 hours of the Games, Anat said, and added that fans will be able to watch all 37 Thai athletes in action.
“We will make sure that the audience watch all our athletes competing in the Games from the preliminary rounds. The coverage of soccer will be from the group stage,’’ said Anat.
All channels will start live coverage from 3pm to 7am Bangkok time with highlights and reruns later for those who missed the latenight session. Platinum subscribers can watch all four HD channels – TrueSport HD, TrueSport HD2, KBS World HD and HD Showcase. Gold subscribers cannot watch HD Showcase while Gold Light and Silver customers are limited to HD Showcase only.
“We are probably the only country in Asia to have so many Olympic channels. Some people don’t understand why it needs nine channels, but remember that some events take place at the same time,’’ said Attaphon na Bangxang, chief programme content officer of TrueVisions.
The remaining standard channels are TrueSport 5 (ESPN 5), TrueSport 6 (ESPN 6), Special Sport (ESPN 7), Star Sports and ESPN.
The coverage of the Opening Ceremony is at 2.45am on July 28 (July 27 night in London) and the rerun at 10am on July 29.
TrueVisions said it had recruited more than 30 voiceover talents, famous commentators and sports gurus for the coverage. Contact TrueVisions Care at No 027257000 for further information.
