Justice minister in quarantine after guests at a party in Sukhothai test positive
Justice Minister Somsak Thepsuthin has gone into a 14-day quarantine after learning that five guests at a party he had attended in Sukhothai province had tested positive for Covid-19.
The minister said he visited Sukhothai during Songkran and acknowledge on Monday that some guests had been infected.
He added that he has called on medics from the Department of Corrections, which is under the jurisdiction of his ministry, to test him and members of his family.
The first round of testing has come out negative.
