The decision to clear the mess was made after Bangkok governor Pol General Aswin Kwanmuang received complaints from Bangkok Noi residents on February 25.
“They wanted the governor to solve problems related to safety, health and environment in their area, and sorting out the mess of cables on Charansanitwong Road was one of their demands,” deputy governor Pol Lt-General Sopon Pisuttiwong said.
Sopon said the project of clearing overhead cables across approximately 4 kilometres should be completed by the end of April.
