Barriers had been built around Government House and other government buildings since 5am Sunday to prevent protesters from invading the complex or removing the ultraroyalist plaque at the Royal Plaza in Dusit district.
Protesters, however, made a surprise move. They dropped the plan to march to Government House, and decided to hand their 10-point manifesto on reforming the monarchy to the Privy Council instead.

The barrier around government buildings were dismantled at around 3pm on Sunday after protester dispersed.
