Gundam robots invade Siam Paragon next week
Fans of Japan’s fictional multiverse can feast their eyes on its latest creations at the “Bandai Spirits Hobby Exhibition 2020” from next Wednesday at Siam Paragon mall.
The exhibition is being held to mark the 40th anniversary of “Gunpla” – the Gundam plastic models which have gained a huge following worldwide, including in Thailand.
It features a giant 3x3 metres model of an RX-78-2 Gundam manned robot, 40 modified Haropla Mobile Haro, and the Gunpla 40th Anniversary zone, which describe the evolution of Gunpla from past to present.
The exhibition also includes a Model Kit Caravan for beginners to build Gunpla, with donated proceeds going to Phramongkutklao Hospital’s Children's Foundation.
A highlight is the Gunpla 40th Builders Contest, where participants will vie for the title of Thailand's greatest Gunpla builder.
Gunpla products will be offered at special prices, while limited items such as the RG 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam Mechanical Clear Ver, MG 1/100 Justice Gundam (Clear Colour), and Haropla Black Tri-Haro (Clear Colour) will be sold exclusively at the showcase.
The exhibition will be held at Siam Paragon's first-floor Fashion Hall from September 23 to October 4.
