Leaders from political organisations as well as the Free Youth and Student Union of Thailand had gathered at the headquarters to protest against former Army deputy spokesperson’s comment criticising their July 17 rally at Democracy Monument.
The Democracy Restoration Group posted a photograph of the summons issued by Nang Lerng Police Station and said the government has been ignoring their calls to stop intimidating people who voice their opinions. The group also warned that this action will only spark more resentment and more demonstrations.
The summons said that law was being applied to control the spread of Covid-19.
