Thaweepong Wichaidit, director general of Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA), said the aim was to develop areas in the province to serve the tourism industry as well as to improve sites to facilitate all kinds of visitors.
Thaweepong said buildings, hotels, restaurants, public toilets and parking lots will be improved and made wheelchair friendly. DASTA will also cooperate with other organisations to work on expanding the tourism industry in the province.
In addition, Suphan Buri’s Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) office said the “tourism for all” scheme will be managed alongside the “Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration” campaign to ensure all travellers are confident about being safe from Covid-19.
