The Royal Thai Embassy in Wellington announced today (April 27) that 168 Thais in New Zealand would depart from Oakland International Airport at 1.10pm (local time) on a chartered Thai Airways plane and are expected to arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 8.15pm (Thailand time).

The embassy added that 88 of the 168 Thais are aged 7-19, who had travelled to New Zealand to further their studies without their parents.
The chartered flight comes after coordination between Thai Airways International, the embassy and New Zealand’s Education Ministry.
Meanwhile, the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo announced that 35 Thais who departed from Haneda Airport on Japan Airlines Flight JL 031 will arrive in Thailand at 3.40pm (Thailand time).
Under Public Health Ministry rules, all returnees from abroad will have to undergo screening at the airport and complete a 14-day quarantine at government specified facilities to prevent Covid-19 from spreading.
