Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Jurin Laksanawisit said the event, to be held at Central Ladphrao, aims to promote exports of rubber, cassava, rice, innovative products made from fruit, and bioplastic products.
“We will bring together importers and distributors from over 130 companies around the world to match more than 200 Thai manufacturers and exporters, with the goal of achieving trade worth Bt2.8 billion,” he said. “Besides, to promote exports, more than eight memorandums of understanding (MoUs) will be signed, there will be overseas visits by organisations with potential and exhibitions of agricultural products and processed agricultural products.”
From November 15-19, the minister said Thai businessmen will visit Turkey and Germany to expand markets for Thai products. They will network and sign MoUs with businesses from those two countries.
“The aim of this overseas visit is to sell rubber, food products and other items,” the minister explained. “Also, we plan to take manufacturers of rubber products, which can be used in the medical equipment industry, to exhibit their products at Medica 2019, a healthcare event in Dusseldorf in Germany, to promote export of rubber products.”
