The training course was led by hospital director Dr Namphol Danpipat, who noted that growing cannabis for medical purposes in Thailand is relatively new. The hospital has been working with medical cannabis for several years and is ready to share its know-how with the general public.
“This training course consists of both classroom lectures and practical sessions in closed farming plots,” Namphol said. “We aim to provide students with optimal growing techniques that will yield best quality cannabis for medical purposes.
“Most importantly, all cannabis growing and processing methods demonstrated in this course are in full compliance with the law,” he added.
In addition to sharing growing techniques, Chaophraya Abhaibhubejhr Hospital provided information on topics that included cannabis usage for medical purposes, dealing with plant diseases and pests, and the regulations that must be followed by those applying to grow medical cannabis with approval of related government agencies.
