King, Queen attend 50-day funeral rites for Prem [See gallery]

Their Majesties the King and Queen attended a merit-making event at the funeral on Tuesday of former statesman and Privy Council president Prem Tinsulanonda.

The event took place at Wat Benchamabophit Dusitvanaram Rajawarawiharn in Bangkok.

The Buddhist ritual is traditionally held 50 days after death.

Also joining member of the Tinsulanonda family were all 15 members of the Privy Council, all Cabinet ministers and all chief justices.
