Buri Ram teen arrested after fatal brawl at Songkran concert
A Buri Ram teenager was arrested in Samut Prakan on Thursday for allegedly engaging in a brawl during a Songkran celebration that led to the death of another teenager, police said.
Police said Apichart (surname withheld) was arrested under a warrant issued by the Buri Ram Court on April 22 on a charge of collaborating with others to harm another person, causing his death.
He was arrested by officers from the Crime Suppression Division at a factory in Samut Prakan on Thursday morning.
Police said the suspect and his friends watched a Songkran concert at Ban Mai Thai Charoen village in Tambon Bupho in Buri Ram’s Lam Plaimart district. They later got involved in a brawl with a group of teenagers from another village, duration which a rival was killed.
Apichart was handed over to the Thamenchai police station in Buri Ram for further legal actions.
