Hundreds take part in event, pushing tourism, environment and philanthropy
Hundreds of cyclists took part in a 32-kilometre ride in Samut Prakan province on Sunday morning.
The ride, which began at the Phra Chulachomklao Fort in Phra Samut Chedi district and passed key sites including the iconic Phra Samut Chedi and Kanchanapisek Bridge before concluding at the starting point, was held under the theme “Hor Kankha Chuan Pan Phua Nong Thong Muang Samut Prakan @Phra Samut Chedi”, or “Chamber of Commerce’s Invitation to Cycle Around Samut Prakan City for Children at Phra Samut Chedi district”.
Besides promoting the province’s tourist attractions and the public’s environmental awareness and good health via exercising, the event also raised funds to be awarded as scholarships to underprivileged academically excellent students of 18 schools in the province’s Phra Samut Chedi and Phra Pradaeng districts.
The event was hosted by the Samut Prakan Chamber of Commerce, Samut Prakan province, Nation Multimedia Group’s Nation TV, Thanakorn Vegetable Oil Products Co Ltd as well as allies.
