Thailand was ranked 99 out of 180 countries and territories in the 2018 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), which shows that despite some progress, many countries are still failing to make serious inroads against graft.
The index ranks the countries and territories by their perceived levels of corruption in the public sector according to experts and businesspeople, on a scale of 0 to 100, where 0 is highly corrupt and 100 is very clean.
