In Uthai Thani, governor Narong Rakroik led officials and others to give alms to 89 Buddhist monks.
The alms giving rite in Ang Thong was held at 7am in front of the provincial hall. Ang Thong governor Rewat Prasong led officials and people from all walks of life to give alms to 89 monks.
In Narathiwat, deputy governor Thammarong Khongwatmai led some 500 officials and other people to give alms to 50 monks at the Narasikkhalai School in Muang district.
In Surat Thani, the rites were held on Koh Samui and on the Tapi River bank in Muang district. At each side, 89 monks were present to collect alms.
In Muang district, the rite was chaired by Surat Thani governor Witchawut Jinto.
In Phayao, acting governor Wutthichai Saowakomut led people and officials to give alms to monks at the Wat Sri Khon Kham Temple.
