Tourism Minister Weerasak Kowsurat and the association president, Thawatchai Kittiratwiwat, jointly told a press conference on Monday that “Running in the Rain 2018” would be flagged off at 4pm from Government Complex, Chaeng Wattana, on August 25.
Entry fee is Bt500 for the general public and Bt999 for VIPs. The race will be held over two distances – five-km and 10-km. The men's and women's winners in both categories will receive honorary cups from the tourism minister.
The proceeds will be used for making bags of necessities to hand out to flood and storm victims nationwide.
