Duck farmer, 83, drowns in farm pond in Uthai Thani
A farmer, 83, on Friday drowned in a pond where he raised his ducks in Uthai Thani’s Ban Rai district, police said.
The body of Muen Monthee was found in the pond near his home in Ban Wang Nam Khiew village in Tambon Wang Hin by relatives, his son, Komon Monthee told police.
Muen’s wife left him at home in the morning to travel to town to pay a power bill. Finding he was not at home when she returned, she asked her relatives to help locate him.
They found his body in the pond.
