Motorists advised to avoid flooded Udomsuk tunnel
Motorists were advised to avoid the underpass at the Udomsuk intersection after heavy early-morning rains flooded the tunnel.
JS100 traffic radio station said it had received reports from many motorists that the tunnel was flooded and the engines of small cars could break down.
The tunnel was flooded after Bangkok was hit by heavy rains from 5am on Wednesday.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s Sewerage and Drainage Department said the rainfalls were over 100mm in short time with 129mm recorded in Nong Chok district.
