Rescue workers try to free a worker trapped amid rocks at a spillway on the Ping River in Kamphaeng Phet province on Tuesday.

The victim was one of five workers who were sent to fix a section of equipment but their boat capsized due to the raging current.

A rescue team took more than three hours to rescue the trapped man, while the other workers had safely swam to safety.
