They were believed to have been members of the audience of the legal Bangsaen Grand Prix 2017, which ran from June 27 to July 2, because they sped around soon after the racing session on Saturday ended.
The illegal road racing caused public nuisance. Locals thus lodged a complaint with the Samet Police Station.
No one was arrested.
“We rushed out to check and they quickly escaped to the interprovincial motorway. We could not arrest them because there were only a handful of policemen at that time,” Samet Police Station’s deputy superintendent Pol Lt Colonel Chanatat Navakhunrangsi said Sunday.
