Tourists treated to unique view of sun at Sandstone castle
Tourists were treated with a unique view when clear skies allowed them to see the sun clearly through the 15 doors of the Sandstone castle in Buriram Province, at 6.05am.
The phenomenon lasted seven minutes and tourists used their smartphones to capture the moment.
The phenomenon takes place only four times a year.
This year, Thai astronomers predicted that the sun would be visible through the 15 doors in the morning of April 3 to 5, in the morning of September 8 to 10, in the evening of March 5 to 7 and in the evening of October 6 to 8.
