The Constitution Drafting Commission (CDC) is considering prohibiting special training courses among independent agencies.

CDC Chairman Meechai Ruchupan said the CDC is pondering the issue as it believes it is not necessary to have such a course held among members of independent agencies as they are already experts when recruited.
The CDC has already addressed such a prohibition in the Election Commission draft bill, he said. However, if the agencies wish to train their staff by holding in-house courses and invite outsiders to help in the training, that would be acceptable, he added.
The CDC is also considering prohibiting overseas trips by agencies as they often deliver no benefits, Meechai said.
