Somsak Sriratanaprapas, the company’s president, said the grey market is expected to reach just 3,800 to 4,000 vehicles this year.
“Sales should grow marginally this year with positive factors being the weakening yen and the new Thai auto tax collection system,” he said. “However, negative factors can also affect sales, particularly the state of the Thai and world economy, as well as the high competition within the premium car market in terms of pricing and promotions.”
While aftersales service contributed to 10 per cent of BRG’s earnings in the past, this year the company wants to increase the ratio to 15 to 20 per cent.
“We will introduce a new service for premium cars called ‘BRG Service Express’ offering quick servicing and repairs at all five branches,” he added.
Services include oneday paint scratch repair, windshield replacement in four hours, wheel repair/paint, vehicle inspection, oil change, among others.
A special department for servicing Porsche vehicles has also been set up by BRG.
The company plans to invest Bt300 million on opening a new branch in Bang Yai area in the fourth quarter.
