14 Dhammakaya monks summoned to report to DSI
Department of Special Investigation (DSI) Pol Col Paisit Wongmuang Sunday ordered 14 monks of Dhammakaya Temple to report with DSI director-general at Border Patrol Police Region 1 head office within 6 pm Sunday.
The order was given under the power on NCPO order 5/2560.
Those violating this order may face punishment of one year imprisonment, Bt20,000 fine, or both.
Those summoned by the order included the former abbot Phra Dhammachayo, the acting abbot Phra Dattajivo, and the temple spokesman Phra Sanitwong Wutthiwangso.
At 7 pm, none of the summoned monks showed up or made any contact to the authorities to report themselves.
