Train bomb attack kills railway worker
A railway worker was killed and a station master was wounded yesterday when a bomb exploded on the train track in Pattani’s Khok Pho district.
The train was derailed and its last car was badly damaged in the incident. The local train was leaving Sungai Kolok |district in Narathiwat and heading for Hat Yai in Songkhla province when the bomb exploded.
The explosion took place shortly before 6pm.
No passengers were hurt. Chaowalit Khongpan, a State Railway of Thailand worker travelling in the last carriage, was killed. Amnuey Mapae, the station master, was injured.
