It confirmed in the statement that flights were cancelled because its pilots went on strike.
“Nok Air apologises for the inconvenience caused to our passenger,” the statement said.
It promised to take responsibility on refunds and compensation according to the Civil Aviation Department regulations.
“The airline has compiled with the Thai aviation standards and is in the process of upgrading its standards to meet with the IOSA (International Air Transport Association’s Operation Safety Audit), the global safety management while some pilots did not meet the new criteria and went on strike to express their discontent. Nok Air is a true Thai airline, and its responsibility is safety and professionalism,” the statement said.
