UWC scholarships: chance to study abroad

THAIS studying at Education Ministry-certified schools who have a grade point average of at least |3.25 and are approaching the end of high school can apply for a United World Colleges scholarship for the pre-university International Baccalaureate diploma

The UWC aims to ensure a broad socio-economic mix within the student body that adds value to the student experience and the organisation.
The two-year pre-university IB diploma course and won by students typically aged between 16 and 19.
Students interested in the IB diploma course a normally aged between 15 and 17 at the application stage and have completed 10 or 11 years of formal education. Students are normally 16 or 17 when they start at a UWC college. 
UWC schools and colleges are located in 15 countries including China, Italy, the UK, the US, India and Singapore. 
Headquartered in London, UWC delivers what it describes as a transformative educational experience to over 7,500 students from more than 80 countries each year.
Applications are accepted in hard copy via registered mail only. 
The filled and signed application form with one passport photograph, related documents (such as a certified copy of academic transcript, a copy of the applicant’s house registration) and a Bt300 application fee in the form of money order must reach the Office of the Civil Service Commission’s Recruitment and Selection Centre in Nonthaburi by January 20 (as shown on postal stamps). 
The applicants also are re-|quired to note at the corner of the envelope “application for UWC Scholarships”. 
The candidates who progress to the interview stage will be announced on February 8. There will be group activities on February 27 where candidates can express their ideas and demonstrate their ability to relate to others.
