A forest flood in Chiang Mai's Fang district has claimed three lives since Sunday, while a rainstorm in Chai Nat province partially damaged 94 homes, Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department chief Chatchai Phromlert said yesterday.

The Fang flood, which inundated 50 homes, as well as a rural road and a bridge in tambons Wiang and Pong Nam Ron, has reportedly receded and the situation is now back to normal.
Fang district chief Manas Khansai said 22-year-old villager Natae Jahae and her two daughters, one aged 12 and the other four months, drowned in the flood on Monday night.
