Thailand growing teak trees for Her Majesty
Prime Minister Yinluck Shinawatra presided over the launch of the "Grow 800 million teak trees for Her Majesty's 80th birthday" project at Chiang Mai's Mae Taeng district yesterday.
Also present were Deputy Prime Minister Yongyuth Wichaidit, Natural Resources and Environment Minister Preecha Rengsomboonsuk, Science Minister Plodprasob Surassawadee and Commerce Minister Boonsong Teriyaphirom.
Under the project, 800 million teak trees covering more than 4million rai across the country will be grown over the next five years.
