The source said the discussion would be a follow-up to the PM’s two visits to the US this year, during which Srettha and Thai delegates presented investment opportunities and supporting government policies to US investors.

The first visit was during the 78th United Nations General Assembly in New York from September 18-26, while the second was during the 30th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, held in San Franciso last week.

US Ambassador to Thailand Robert F Godec said that the scheduled discussions reflected the confidence of the United States and its businesses in Thailand’s potential. He said US corporations are ready to invest in aspects that promote mutual benefits and growth of the US, Thailand and the world.

These US companies will also bring tens of thousands of jobs and billions of dollars of trade volume to Thailand, helping to further boost the country’s economic expansion, the ambassador added.
