A leader in Thailand's food industry, Betagro, is kicking off a special project offering safe food at fair prices. The "Betagro #recover19" project will provide high quality and safe food at fair price, the company said.

Betagro will also offer emergency assistance and support through three main entities – the public health, the government’s policy and society.
Vasit Taepaisitphongse, CEO and president of Betagro Group, said that “Since the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak in December, public health authorities and medical staff had worked extremely hard to handle the continuously increasing number of cases. The sudden rise in food demand has resulted in price hikes of some products."
Betagro is also supporting public health by donating Bt5 million to support medical supply procurement and offered 5,000 bottles of alcohol sanitisers to five hospitals namely Ramathibodi Hospital, Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute, Siriraj Hospital, Thammasat University Hospital and King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital.
Betagro said it is offering 30,000 kilograms of frozen fresh food through the Betagro #Recover19 caravan to help doctors, nurses, and medical staff so they can have access to high quality and safe food. The products will be delivered from April 9 to 22 hospitals nationwide.
The company said it is also supporting a local SME restaurant ‘Jay Jong Fried Pork’ by offering 1,000 kilograms of seasoned pork as an ingredient to cook for medical staff.
Betagro is also offering deliveries to consumers’ homes, with special promotions throughout April.
The company is inviting everyone to unite and show their support by posting photos and stories of how they follow the measures or contribute to the society on social media to show support to Thai people during this time.
