Saksayam said once he signs the endorsement of the nominees, their names will be sent to the State Enterprise Policy Office for deliberation.
The four state enterprises are the Port Authority of Thailand (PAT), the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) and the State Railway of Thailand (SRT).
Sources said Saksayam has picked Chirute Visalachitra, deputy permanent secretary for Transport Ministry, for the post of chair of the PAT board.
According to the source, Sarawut Songwilai, director general of the Railway Transport Department, is being eyed by Saksayam as chairman of the MRTA board, and Witthaya Yamuang, inspector general for the Transport Ministry, as chair of the BMTA board.
The sources said Saksayam would select either Pisak Jitwiriyasin, deputy permanent secretary for Transport, or Chayatham Promsorn, deputy director of the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning would be picked for the post of chairman of the SRT board.
