Begistics joins with HTH for Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore logistics route

Begistics has joined hands with a Malaysian logistics giant to push cross-border services under the “MOVE Borderless” brand starting this September, aiming at the Malaysia-Singapore market with the goal of attaining market share of at least 20 per cent by 2020. The CLMV countries and China with be their next targets.
Pongsiri Sirithorn, CEO of Begistics Public Co Ltd, said the company has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with HTH Corporation SDN BHD of Malaysia to open a new cross-border logistics service under “MOVE Borderless”.
“We are planning to use both companies’ expertise in pioneering Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore cross-border transport, both in full truckloads or quantities of less than a truckload (LTL) formats,” said Pongsiri.
The signing partners for HTH were managing director Lee Chin Heng and board member Lee Chin Song.
The companies will provide a logistics service for all kinds of products, but in the early stage will focus on electronic components, processed crops and consumer goods, he said.
The cross-border service will kick-off this September, and the firms are targeting an at least 20-per-cent market share within 2020, he said.
Pongsiri is also positive that the new service will take the companies’ business to wider markets. “We are planning to expand the routes of MOVE Borderless to Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, and finally China to compliment our motto of ‘fast transport without border’,” he said.
