SET trading value down 35% in July The Nation year on year
Investment in the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) averaged Bt41.48 billion per day in July, down 35.53 per cent from the same period last year, while the average daily trading value during the first half of the year came in at Bt45.86 billion, representing a decline of 6.35 per cent, the SET announced on Monday.
The SET Index closed at 1,576.08 points on July 31, some 2.15 per cent higher than its closing position at the end of last year.
SET market capitalisation totalled Bt15.57 trillion as of July 31, up 3.29 per cent from the end of 2016, while the Market for Alternative Investment’s capitalisation stood at Bt311.25 billion, down 26.83 per cent in the same period, the bourse reported.
