Vespiario (Thailand) Co Ltd, the official importer and distributor of Vespa scooters in Thailand, plans to grow sales by 15 per cent this year thanks to strong demand and marketing activities.
Pornada Tejapaibul, managing director of Vespiario (Thailand), said, the company “has been operating as the official Vespa importer and distributor in Thailand for more than seven years”.
“Last year, Vespa sales rose to 12,244 scooters, and we hope to grow sales by up to 15 per cent to reach 14,000 units,” she added.
There are currently 50,483 Vespa scooters in Thailand, Pornada added.
“Our sales growth for Vespa can be attributed to our integrated marketing strategy, which spans introduction of new models, particularly Vespa PX 125 launched around the end of last year, a variety of sales promotions, and nationwide expansion of outreach marketing and sales channels,” she said.
She said they currently had a network of more than 80 dealers nationwide with 10 new outlets planned this year using the “Motoplex” concept, which debuted in February at its flagship store in A Square on Sukhumvit 26. “The new store concept seeks to offer the true experience of Italian motorcycling and responding to customers’ demands,” she said.
